Westy Sure Start Children's Centre, the first Children's Centre in Warrington to open. The Centre is based on Tinsley Street, Latchford, Warrington WA4 1RE and is attached to Alderman Bolton Community Primary School and Westy Sure Start Nursery, the Centre is a new build and refurbishment to part of the school.
Opening Times at the Centre are:
Monday 9.30am to 4.30pm
Tuesday to Thursday 9.15am to 4.30pm
Friday 9.15am to 4.00pm
The centre has:
* Full 'wrap around' day care for children aged 0 to 5 years (adjacent Nursery)
* Training suite of 12 computers, all with internet access
* Multi Function Room
* Light and Sound Room
* Consulting Suite
* Soft Play Area (one hour free play per child per day)
* Community Cafe (9.30am to 2.00pm) hot & cold snacks and drinks
* Taking Indoors Outdoors with external seating and outdoor play area
* Vegetable Garden etc.
The building was completed at the end of April, followed by an official launch on - Friday 20th May at 10am. The Chairman of Westy Sure Start - Councillor Hans Mundry and his wife opened the building. Councillor Hans Mundry took up his post as The Worshipful The Mayor of Warrington on 19th May and Westy Sure Start Children's Centre opening was his first official duty. Also on Reynolds Street No's 8-10, we have a Tot Shop which sells nearly new toys and clothes and some new items too, at bargain prices. We also sell new safe buy equipment from the shop, so Westy children are safe in their homes, you have to be registered with our programme to purchase Safe Buy equipment.
